Chimpanzees need our help! Sharing 99% of our DNA, chimpanzees are amongst our closest living relatives, yet they are threatened with extinction by the illegal bushmeat and pet trades.
Artist and Drawing for the Planet (DftP) founder, Jane Lee McCracken is auctioning print 1/10 of her intricate ballpoint pen drawing Gardener of the Forest with all profits going directly to Liberia Chimpanzee Rescue and Protection’s orphan chimpanzees, international wildlife charity Born Free’s education department, and the continuation of DftP’s Chimpanzee Community project's art and chimpanzee education workshops for children in Liberia, home to the critically endangered western chimpanzee.
This auction ends on 20 February following Jane's talk about the project and the screening of Chimpanzee Community film at Queen’s Hall Arts Centre, UK on 19 February, 7pm: queenshall.co.uk/whats-on/jane-lee-mccracken-artist-talk-auction. Place your bid on this stunning artwork and make a significant contribution to protecting our chimpanzee cousins.
Thank you for your kind support giving hope to chimpanzees and providing Liberian children with the opportunity to learn about and draw chimpanzees! For any queries please contact Jane@drawingfortheplanet.org
