Please note: The default quantity when adding an item is equal to one.
To add multiple quantities, you will need to add either a Buy It Now price or use Blind Bidding.
Buy It Now would be used if you sell spots/tickets to a party or event for a set dollar amount. An example is if you want to sell a ticket/item for $25 each. In this case, do not fill in the Starting Bid field and leave it blank. You will only enter the price into the Buy It Now field.
Blind Bidding would be used if you have multiple quantities available for the item and you want the “Top Number” of bidders to win. In the case of an item with a quantity of two, then the top two bidders would win the items. Since the item is a Blind Bid, the bidders will not know what the current top bids are and will be forced to put in their max bid to try and get into the top two spots. When a participant places a bid, they will: – Be prompted to increase their bid if it doesn’t fall within the winning bracket.
Follow these steps to add multiple quantities to your item.
Step 1) Select the name of your auction under “Manage Events”
Step 2 ) To add a Buy Now option > Select “Add/Items” > “Add Items” > “Buy Now” > “Quantity” ( +/- ) > “Create Item”
Buy Now can be combined with bidding: If Buy Now is combined with bidding, bidders will be given the option to either Bid or Buy the item. One of the items that is not bought using the Buy Now feature will be assigned to the highest bidder. Or, if there are multiple items left, you may assign them to the rest of the bidders.
