Our annual
Scrabble Challenge and accompanying auction helps Adult Literacy Advocates
provide a variety of educational and workplace development programs to help
adults in the Greater Baton Rouge area achieve personal, employment, and family
goals by improving their literacy skills. Programs include Basic
Literacy, HiSET (formerly GED) Preparation, and ESL (English as a Second
Language).
As part of our 26th Annual Scrabble Challenge, these items are being offered for online bidding only, and will NOT be part of the Silent Auction during the event itself. Winners of these online items will have the option of including a donation to cover the processing and marketing fees if they desire. Otherwise, fees will be paid by the seller. Items may be claimed by calling the ALA office at 225-383-1090 to set an appointment for pick-up after the winners are announced. Shipping or delivery of items will not be available.
